Course Logistics

“I have to give mention to the Sag Support … Dave and his co-driver were fantastic! They did everything that the group needed and did it with care and enthusiasm.”

The Start/Finish

The route begins and ends at Hampshire High School, located on Big Timber Road approximately one-half mile west of Route 20 near Hampshire, Illinois. There is ample parking available on site as well as volunteers to assist with parking. Riders have access to rest rooms located near the athletic field. A “warm up course” will be available on site for those who wish to avoid a cold start. Shower facilities and snacks are available after the event.

The Course

The Sub5 Course is relatively flat with low vehicular traffic and is comprised of three laps of 33 1/3 miles.  A “feed zone” is located along Ketchum Road east of Hampshire High School. The  feed zone is organized to provide Rider Groups with the necessary assistance and to minimize their stop time. Course Marshals will be located at the feed zones and at major intersections along the route. Support vehicles will also travel with the Rider Groups to alert traffic and provide any necessary assistance.
